Biography
Since the moment Siggy Skeens and Shaun Foist found each other early in 2000 in a mom and pop music shop. They stepped into a music scene that neither one of them had grown accustomed to. Sitting back watching the music business take a different turn, they began to wonder where good music had gone. They stuggled with the fact that great musicianship and songwriting was becoming a thing of the past. Different than many of their peers this past decade they stayed TRUE to their souls and most importantly making great music. Despite the fact of these two talented musicians going against the current format set by the music business at that particular time they found a perfect place for them, with Grammy nominated producer Dave Cobb of (Brightman Music). He was the key instrumentalist in grabbing the best out of singer/songwriter Siggy Skeens. He knew then that he gave Siggy & Shaun a voice of their own, that he knew in time would leave a strong lasting impression on the face of Rock & Roll.
Now since the creation of Black Saints Cartel in early 2008, becoming a dominant force in rock music has been their only focus.
So if you've thought the rugged, bold sound of true rock and roll was only a sweet memory from your precious past, think again. Black Saints Cartel embodies the very essence of rock, but adds a unique, blended edge which creates an alluring sound that appeals to all generations. Since the additions of guitarists Jason Moore, Scooter Henthorn and bassist Tony Wagner, you get the addicting harmony known as Black Saints Cartel. The magnetic combination of these five talented musicians is best represented in their debut album produced by Dave Cobb "Convention of The Lost Saints" . Set to hit stores in the fall of 2009. The songs are embraced with a blend of grunge guitars, classic rock moves and big pop hooks. Siggy has a dynamic devotion for music way beyond most young songwriters today. His lyrics mimic those from powerhouse ballads of yesteryear without abandoning modern pop culture. Sincerely, appreciating the pure energy of old-school arena rock, the members of Black Saints Cartel embrace every single moment.
